Confronted with a legal problem, provide a legal argument. This is the rule every aspiring lawyer should live by.
Since I discovered this critical piece of information a month ago (read Eureka! and The Missing Link), I have not the occasion to apply this knowledge. This afternoon at my Special Penal Law class was the supposed to be first time. Unfortunately, I couldn't—even if I wanted to. I was not prepared for the questions so I didn't have any legal arguments at hand.
Actually, I spouted what sounded like arguments while adrenalin elevated my heart rate. This was a clear sign that I was just arguing for argument sake. In hindsight, saying I don't know was a better thing to do. Mental note: If you do not have a legal argument, any other answer is inadequate. Anyway, kamaimasen. It does not matter.
Hmm. This incident gives me an excuse to activate Cannot Deliver a Legal Argument. This is my journal dedicated to persuasive argumentation. (Read the prologue, The Missing Link.)
