I was surprised to get the highest score in our past exam on Obligations and Contracts. Frankly, I could have gotten a mediocre result and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. This is not modesty, but an acute awareness of my shortcomings at this point in time.
Right now, I must admit that if I do well in an exam, it is rather vague as to what I did right and why I did well. Most likely, I won't be able to do it again with a consistent level of confidence and proficiency.
However, having said all these, I must also admit that I do want high scores—perfect scores, even. But apparently, the university doesn't seem to be interested in, or is not capable of training me to achieve that. They want me, a part-time student who is not an expert in teaching or learning, to figure this out for myself.
Hmm. It's not going to be easy, but it doesn't matter. Eventually, I'll figure it out.
