Website Flier

Catalog Copy That SizzlesI designed a flier to promote my website. It's a 6-page gatefold flier printed on A4-size paper. I haven't evaluated the copy yet and the consistency of the message with the copy I used. But I'm using whatever copy writing techniques I can learn from the 2000 book Catalog Copy That Sizzles. Incidentally, I did not try to be original. I just wanted to design something quickly by imitating from others. So, I just went to the mall and picked up several Nokia fliers to get some ideas. I then imitated the design and the layout of the elements. (I'm not going to show my design, but I am going to show what inspired me.)

__________
* [1930H] I already photocopied the original to see the quality of the duplicates and they were good enough. It will cost me at most P2 per piece to reproduce. Unfortunately, they don't use A4 paper in the copy service I used and it may be a problem looking for a copy service who can do both sides.

I'm relocating my comments to (surprise!) the comments section. Duh!

[09-JAN-2009 1637H] Maroon doesn't seem to blend with the color motif of this page. I'll change it later to the green one.

This is just a specimen flier.

The more important one is the flier for the PhilNITS review that I plan to offer at the University of Cebu. I will work on it this weekend and likewise activate the journal, Cannot Pass the PhilNITS Exams.

I decided to change the message or communication objective of the flier.

Instead of a passive invitation which is not strongly linked to a need, I will offer FREE personal website consultation service. But I still need to research the specifics of any of the typical needs of my target audience.
